The Week Ahead - March 30 to April 3

Hello Homma Families,

I hope all of you have managed to stay healthy and safe these past two weeks.  This is definitely not the email I expected to be writing to you the weekend before school was expected to return from Spring Break!  I know for many of you there have been cancelled holidays, missed family gatherings, and unexpected changes to daily routines.  Through out all of this though, I hope you have been able to spend time as a family making the best of these very unfortunate circumstances.

By now most of you have probably had a chance to read the Superintendent’s Letter sent out on Friday, March 27th (I have also reattached it to this email for your convenience).  As mentioned in this letter, “We have an incredibly dedicated team of teachers, support staff and school leaders who are ready to return to work after spring break with the full intent of supporting your children.”  As staff return to work this coming week plans will begin to take shape and learning opportunities will begin to be designed.  You can expect to hear from your child’s teacher near the end of the week and continued communication will also be coming from myself as more information of what to expect becomes available.

In the meantime, please continue to read, build, play games, explore outside, cook and bake together, watch and at home movie, and be with each other during this unsettled time.

Continue to take care of yourself and your families, and I will be in touch again soon.

Sincerely,

Tanya Major
