The current Homma Garden/Outdoor Classroom is across the street from our school and is a part of the Neighbourhood Community Gardens along Railway Avenue.  This Spring we are hoping to work with the City to relocate our Outdoor Classroom to the area around the Homma playground.  The Homma Garden/Outdoor Classroom is a very important space to us and we value the community and sense of place it creates for our students and their families.

Five classes of students at Homma were given the following Garden Challenge:

Design a new outdoor space around the existing playground using the items listed below and any new elements you would like to see added to the Homma Outdoor Classroom.  You have - 16 garden beds, 1 mud kitchen, 1 outdoor "classroom" seating space, and an existing playground structure.
