Good Afternoon Everyone,
We hope you all had a peaceful Remembrance Day and were able to take some time to remember those who have fought, and continue to fight, for our freedom here in Canada.
Tomorrow begins the five day celebration of Diwali, India's largest and most important holdiay of the year. The festival gets it's name from the row (avali) of clay lamps (deepa) that are lit outside of homes to symbolize the inner light that protects from spiritual darkness. We wish all of our families joining in this celebration a very happy Diwali!
A reminder that this week has early dismissal on both Tuesday and Thursday at 1:45 pm for Parent Teacher Conferences and the PAC has their monthly meeting on Tuesday evening at 6:30 pm.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mrs. Major and Mr. Vines
